History

From a regional artisan business to an international company.

Johann Koller, the founder, proprietor and CEO of MMM played a principal role in the history of the company over many decades. With his industriousness, entrepreneurship and international focus, he shaped an entire era and turned a small, regionally focused artisan enterprise into the leading systems supplier in the service of health that we are today. His vision and inspiration accompany us still.

Milestones in the History of the MMM Group

Founding of MMM. Our first factory opens its gates in the middle of Munich – on Implerstraße – and begins to produce operating tables.

1954

1957

MMM delivers the first sterilizer to the German market.

Start of manufacturing in the Stadlern plant. Johann Koller selected his place of birth as the future production and training location of MMM.

1964

1973

MMM’s headquarters moves from Implerstraße to Planegg Semmelweisstraße.

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM Switzerland.

1979

1987

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM Austria.

Change in management – Johann Koller hands over the management of the business to Michael Koller.

Acquisition of shares in Chirana Brno in the Czech Republic and creation of the BMT brand.

1992

1993

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM Medcenter.

MMM acquires a majority stake in BMT in Brno/Czech Republic.

It also establishes its first subsidiary in Russia.

1996

MMM receives certification according to EN 13485.

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM UK.

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM Poland.

1979 Gründung der Tochtergesellschaft MMM Frankreich

Acquisition of the company Schaerer Mayfield France and establishment of the subsidiary MMM France.

Market launch of the Fluipharm®, MMM’s first hot water sprinkler sterilizer.

In the new Peiting plant near Schongau, Germany, MMM finds the optimal conditions for a further R&D and manufacturing location for its washer-disinfector range of products. This enables the MMM Group to become a full-service provider for RUMED solutions.

Market launch of the Uniclean® PL II 15, high-performance washer-disinfector.

Market launch of the Uniclean® ML, large capacity washer-disinfector.

Gründung der MMM Healthcare International

The company MMM Healthcare International GmbH was established to handle the international turn-key projects of the MMM Group.

Market launch of the Selectomat® PL Compact Line, steam sterilizer with compact dimensions.

2016

2017

Completion of the Uniclean® series with the market launch of the Uniclean® PL II 10, the most compact washer-disinfector in its class.

Market launch of the Uniclean® PL II 30, washer-disinfector for 36 DIN trays.

2017

Erste Modulare AEMP an der Uniklinik Regensburg

First modular RUMED at Uniklinik Regensburg.

Expansion of the Northern hall in Stadlern.

2018

Market launch of the Vakulab® PL Compact Line, thanks to its compact design, the versatile steam sterilizer of the MMM.

1979 Gründung der Tochtergesellschaft MMM Benelux

Establishment of the subsidiary MMM Benelux.

2020

Market launch of Hyper LTS® 150, MMM’s first low temperature sterilizer.

Market launch of UPL C-Shuttle®, MMM’s first fully automatic loading and unloading system.

Market launch of Uniclean® PLE 3, automatic Washer-disinfector for reprocessing up to 3 flexible endoscopes.

Market launch of EDScab® 8H, storage and drying cabinet for up to 8 flexible endoscopes.
