General contractor

One source for everyone and everything.

Our customers are healthcare experts – not building contractors. To complete their construction projects, they need expert partners to provide them with reliable support, guidance and advice.

The medical planners suitable for this tasks have been MMM partners for decades. Over the last 40 years, we have provided significant contributions to the planning, design and implementation of numerous large-scale projects together with both architects and engineers.

Thanks to many years of experience in numerous projects both domestic and abroad, whether dealing with renovations or new constructions, our engineers and technicians are competent project managers and are there to provide support for everything relating to construction planning and implementation.

Medical engineering meets facility management

There is a large overlap between the responsibilities of facility management and those relating to planning and installation, e.g. of a new CSSD. Thanks to the experience gained from numerous projects in which MMM as a general contractor of the hospital was responsible in particular for the renovation and new construction of a CSSD, we have been able to spread our expertise to additional fields.

For decades, MMM has been managing specific tasks of external facility management independently and reliably.

The dedication is worthwhile

Completion to budget, smooth logistics and the end results achieved are the cornerstones of successful construction supervision.

Because installation of medical technology is, by its very nature, carried out at the end of the overall process, our construction supervisors will guide you through the entire project in order to ensure successful completion of all construction phases (e.g. construction meetings, measurement inspection, installation and hand-over) and therefore a successful outcome.

Putting it in black and white

We collect the facts, screen the alternatives, describe the situation, analyse the cost-effectiveness and log the workflows. In short, we create a project book which recounts the genesis of a construction project step by step. Upon completion of the project, we hand over not just the keys, but also the completed documentation in which the joint success of the project is recorded.

Planning & consulting

Planning is everything.

Especially in the planning and consulting with regard to construction projects in hospitals, it is of utmost importance not just to maintain an overview and a steady had on the reins, but also to identify what details have to be implemented, as well as the scheduled time of implementation and its requirements.

This is approach is taken when starting to determine what the requirements are, clarifying the applicable statutes, standards and regulations, providing support when choosing the necessary device technology and when providing advice for organisation and workflow planning in the new system.

More or less? Specific capacity calculation

In terms of logistics and cost-effectiveness, capacity calculation is an extremely important factor in the planning and execution of construction projects. An incorrect estimation of existing and required capacity has a serious impact on the proper functionality of a CSSD, a laboratory or a laundry service.

Our services include:

  • Calculation of capacity in the analysis of present situation and targets under different variables
  • Cost-effectiveness calculations for existing and planned systems
  • Analysis and optimisation of the existing equipment and workflows with respect to capacity and logistics
  • Development of complementary modules for enhancing the performance of existing systems

1 plus X plus Y plus Z – layout planning for pros

The logistically optimal arrangement of elements for the smooth processing of sterile goods is a key variable for the productivity and profitability of the CSSD, for sculleries, laundry services or animal laboratories.

MMM does not just investigate the right location for cleaning, disinfection and sterilization systems; we also take into account the flow of goods inside the building, the structural consequences of a location decision, the consolidation and evaluation of information and strengths and weaknesses of a specific situation.

Our services include:

  • Adjustment of ergonomic workplace conditions
  • Profitability optimisation through cost-effective logistics conditions
  • Optimisation of process reliability

Energy engineering and cost reduction

Enormous savings can be achieved by analysing the energy and media supply and by using cost-reducing equipment and systems. We perform tests on the equipment of our customers for water, electricity and steam consumption, and develop detailed proposals for cost reduction through the conservation of energy and resources.

Our services include:

  • Detailed cost-effectiveness calculation and analysis of the potential for savings in the energy and media supply
  • Development of alternatives for reducing costs and consumption

Workflow organisation

Everything flows.

Even for central sterilization facilities, quality management is an eminently important topic. We know that our customers are exploring this "broad field" with a great deal of energy.

To support the implementation of a QM system in the CSSD, MMM offers a QM service package which guides you efficiently through the successful introduction and implementation in your CSSD right up to certification.

We train and offer guidance, create and investigate, research and optimise, assist and audit until a ready-to-use QM system has been implemented in your CSSD which meets the statutory requirements and achieves significant improvements in terms of organisation and cost-effectiveness.

Everything flows: optimisation of workflows in the CSSD

No two CSSDs are the same. Different circumstances necessitate different adaptations. Drawing from over 60 years of experience in the field of sterile goods supply, with over 30,000 installed systems in hospitals around the world, we have provided tailored solutions more times than the majority of other providers on the market.

We know the requirements, and we know the solutions. We can show you the specific options for how to optimise your workflows in the CSSD. How tray analysis can help you achieve savings. How your workflow organisation can be optimised. How you can save water and electricity.

How you can secure your CSSD investment in the long term. How you can enhance the expertise of your staff through training. How to get the best from your CSSD.

These details are what makes good service.

Our knowledge of the details makes us an established partner in supporting the certification of quality management in the CSSD. We provide custom solutions and optimisations to existing processes with our customers, offer support in analysing organisation and develop a customer-specific QM handbook which not only meets the statutory requirements, but also implements measurable improvements of the CSSD.

Everything flows: Organising and optimising workflows

The potential for savings and added value in hospital workflow organisation is enormous. The analysis of key factors and the detailed adjustment and realignment of these factors requires a partner who is familiar with both the smallest details and the bigger picture.

Our consulting services with respect to workflow organisation include the following:

  • Analysis of operational workflows of instrument processing in contaminated areas
  • Analysis of operational workflows of cleaned sterile goods in the packing zone
  • Development of supply and disposal regarding consumption points
  • Analysis of supply channels
  • Inventory taking of sterile and disposable goods
  • Practical guidance on sterilization, including documentation management
  • Sterile goods storage/output – organisation and documentation
  • Practical guidance and training with respect to sterile goods software
  • Personnel and operations scheduling or roster specification
  • Creation of inventory listings with respect to disposables
  • Development of investment for stock-keeping as well as the ordering and repair system
  • Optimisation and standardisation of sterile goods
  • Recording of sterile goods in an EDP sterile goods management program

1 + 1 = 3?

Before investing in new instruments and trays, a precise test should always be carried out to determine which instruments are cleaned and disinfected, the disinfection method and how the cycles are configured. This tray analysis indicates, for example, the positive leverage that can be achieved by a "well adjusted" CSSD in terms of the process and cost factors in the entire field of cleaning and disinfection.

Our services include:

  • Tray analysis with an overview of the present situation and targets
  • Submission of proposals for resource optimisation in order to improve the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of organisation
